It just goes to show you that when your body is sick your mind is not working to it's fullest capacity either.

What happened? Well... Thursday I bought a new car, Friday I went to a wedding, Saturday I hosted a BBQ for friends and famil and on Sunday I worked in the garden all day. I guess you can say that I had a very busy weekend. By the end of the night I was feeling drained, so I went to bed early. Sure enough on Monday morning I woke up with a high fever, a sore throat and a pounding headache.

Needless to say that I spend all of Monday and Tuesday in bed wishing someone would put me out of my misery. To make the matters worst my briliant doctor told me that I caught some nasty virus and there is nothing that can be done for it, except "get lots of sleep and drink plenty of fluids". As if - you try sleeping with a raging fever! Anyhow, by Wednesday I was feeling a bit better and seeing that I was bored out of my mind I decided to go to work (obvious lapse in judgment here). My guess is that I tried to get back on my feet too early, cause today I'm sick again! The right thing would have been to stay in bed the extra day and get better, before trying to be a good little automaton and going back to work. Mental note to self - don't try to hurry too much when health is concerned.

Anyhow, just needed to vent.

Aw, I hope you get better soon! It always seems to be the way... decide you feel better enough to start doing stuff, and burn yourself out all over again!

Get lots of rest and drink lots of nice cold water!

Ask your Doc if beer counts as fluid? Probably not but worth a go right?
Seriously get better soon.

Hmmm... Beer IS a fluid!

But since my taste is gone anyways I might as well go for a shot of vodka and hope that it's healing powers will kick in!

Our bodies aren't meant to be pushed that far! Sounds like you had a very busy few days and when that happens your immune system just goes to shit. I have been sick so many times since I moved to the DR and it's because I push myself.

And yes, with viruses, there is no medication that will cure it....only rest and plenty of water!

Feel better though!! And even when you are feeling healthy again, give your body a bit of a rest to really re-energize.

lol well I wouldn't go THAT far....more or less ease your way up to being that active as opposed to just jumping right in.

Feel better! But it sounds like you had one hell of a weekend before that.
