Sounds like fun, my friend there is a buyer for a menswear fashion house, so I'm considering sending her my husband to reform and re-dress. Heaven knows I can't help him!

I've said it before...if I lived in Britain, those incredible easyjet, ryanair, et al, airfares would absolutely kill me. I'd be traveling somewhere every weekend!!!

Have a great time, Bri!

Enjoy!! Make sure you don't get totally sucked in by all the fashion houses and still make time to check out the old downtown area and their cathedral. I believe it is the second largest cathedral in the world. There are some really cool and bizarre statues inside. You can skip the Leonardo DaVinci museum, however. I thought it would be cool, but it wasn't. Have a great time!!

I also read something about booking ahead to see the Da Vinci in the Cathedral - wasn't a player for us, we were staying out in the green belt. The only masterpiece we experienced was the incredible meal prepared by my friend's Italian husband...but I digress.

The only outlet mall I saw was down near Roma, a bit of a haul, even for D&G!

Como's only about an hour north of Milan, we drove past - pretty, pretty. And I got the nicest correspondence from a B&B in Bellagio (on Lake Como). They regretted that they didn't have rooms available, but they'd pass on our info to the local accommodations booking office, and perhaps next time they would have room. And if we were coming through, please stop by for coffee on their veranda. Best wishes, Costanza and Guiseppe. Not the usual, "sorry no room" form letter.

I digress again.
