So I'm seriously considering walking the Coast-to-Coast trail in England over a couple weeks in May. I'm no newbie to hiking, so I feel pretty confident in my ability to trudge 15-20 miles a day with a pack, but I've never done it outside the US. Has anyone done any long distance walking in the UK? Stories or wisdom you'd like to share?
Particularly, I'm curious about the camping barns and/or tent camping along the way (that is, in the Lake District, Peak District, or the Yorkshire Moors).

From my only camping experience in the UK: I hope you like mud!
Ok, in all fairness, that was at Glasto which is known for mud, but that's the permanent impression I'll have about traipsing through the English countryside!

Hiking 200 miles nude sounds . . . uncomfortable. And cold. Eww.

Steve Gough and his girlfriend walked the entire length of the UK all the way to John O'Groats. They were walking for some reason... make people more comfortable with their bodies or something.

I did parts of the Cornish Coastal Path and it was awesome. Tons of B&Bs in the area, which is what I stayed at. As for camping, I agree with Omi: This is Britain...perpare to get wet!
