if you had a choice of only one greek island to visit, which would it be?

I love beaches, I like nightlife--but I can live with laying on a beach all day and taking beautiful pictures of scenery...but would also like to have a few people to talk to...if that helps at all.

Corfu has beaches and a very, VERY busy hostel-- the Pink Palace.

ya ive been looking at corfu a lot....the pink palace looks like a lot of fun but ive read a lot about girls being harrassed there...any one know if theres any truth to this? im gonna be by myself and i dont want to be uncomfortable...

theres also another hostel called sunrock i was looking at...anyone know anything about that one?

Shit, girl-- you could find yourself with a raging case of herpes, bloating and acne on a barren piece of rock in the middle of the Arctic circle and if there's a guy around, there will always be the potential of being harrassed.

But don't let that keep you from going anywhere you please by yourself (in the so-called "civilized" world... if you were going to, say, Afghanistan alone-- well, that's a different story.

) If you're seriously concerned about it, just make sure you have a few male-attention-deflecting moves in your repertoire before you leave. I'm not just talking about a well-placed elbow or knee to the groin... Nope, sometimes a judicoius emptying of your nostril, ripping a righteous belch (um, although I'll do that anyway) or loudly hocking a loogey in a public place will achieve the desired effect.

i just want one "retreat" if you will from my hectic trip...where i can just lay on the beach for a few days and relax...and so no it doesnt HAVE to be greece...but preferrably something easily accessible and not crazy expensive
