Hay everyone i am just about to finish at my job and am planning to do a working holiday for a couple of years. I just a few questions to ask from people.

How cold is the U.K as i am from the tropics where the weather doesn't generally get below 35 degrees celcius?

How expensive is the U.K is it ridiculous to travel and live on the Ozzie dollar?

Is there much work in the countryside as i think London will be huge and i don't want to work behind a desk. I would rather work in the countryside pouring beers or on a farm?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi Danny

Weather currently in the UK: High of 6 degrees and a low of -6

hehe!.. dont want to put you off but you will find it very cold in the winter but its nothing a nice hat and scarf cant fix.. and with the cold weather comes snow so its fun fun fun! especially if you do locate yourself out in the countryside, you'll be sledging to work and back

If you are after a nice city / countryside mix lifestyle may i recommend working in Edinburgh... its by the sea, surrounded by countryside and a gorgeous city centre and full of history. Also with it being a city there will be plenty of jobs and stuff to do with your time like the old scottish pasttime of drinking!!

at the moment UK pretty cold, always a frost, the hats and golves are definately on!

england is obviously pretty small, you can live in a village and only be 30 mins drive from an cool city. ( except london......!) depends what kind of contryside your after, lake district, peak district, the moors????

yorkshire has the lakes an a really cool city with leeds, lots going on with 2 big uni's but easy to get around. GOOD shops and nightlife. lots of lovely villages with pubs who would employ a traveller barman as long as they could pull a decent pint!!!

depends what you want to do!!! have fun!!!!
