There are three Rotenburg in Germany I believe, but you probably talk about Rothenburg ob der Tauber. I spent two weeks there at the Goethe Institute for an intensive german course. Lovely is the best way to describe it, but there isn't a lot to do. It is a small town from the XXII century, that remained intact during WWII. Historicalywise interesting, and beautiful to the eye. Too many tourists... I was there in February and despite the cold, every weekend tourists filled up the old town.
Certainly worth a visit, but for a longer stay, you have to like it quiet !
