So I am trying to decide if it would be cheaper to fly to europe in august or put my trip off until september? Any recommendations?

Whats Europe like in September?

Hello Qwardian,
I have done a bit of research on travelling to Europe in September. I had originally planned to go around this time but other things came up. It seems to be alot cheaper and also less tourism. From what I understand it is also still pretty warm in most places of until October rolls around. Airfare might be more expensive though, simply because it's getting closer to September. I'm sure you can find cheap flights if you search enough.

Starting in September is the shoulder season for tourism and that's when prices drop. Everyone's going back to school and ending their vacations. Plus, it is a great time as everyone agreed, the weather is beautiful. Perfect time if you don't have other obligations. My parents spent a week and half in Ireland last September and got much better weather than we did in June. Plus they had a fabulous time and saved a lot on airfare. We're going to be flying back to the states at the beginning of September, since the different between Aug 31 and Sept 1 was huge.

i'm going over september 1st for exactly that reason: airfare dropped by almost half from august 31st to september 1st. i hope that in general other things are cheaper as well as i was in there during the peak last time (july).
