Hi,
Myself and 3 other friends will be travelling the UK for a month this summer (early june - early july), and need some guidance as to destinations. We are planning on getting the 8 day over 2 months flexi pass, and concentrating the majority of that train time on major journeys....so, we need to select several hubs to travel into in each country. Preferably these locations will have easy and very cheap access to some less touristed areas, as well as must-see sites. Wales, Scotland, and England are all fair game (I don't think the Britrail pass covers N. Ireland, but I may be wrong...), and our schedules are extremely flexible. Any ideas? |
UK train trip..sounds pretty sweet...some of the hubs you might wanna try are
London to Birmingham Birmingham to Manchester Manchester to York York to Edinburgh ( YEHA) Save your pass and bus it to Aberdeen ( trek north into the Highlands) You could then make your way down the western coast and eventually into Wales. The one thing you do seem to have on your side is TIME, which will be your biggest advantage. I can make all suggestions you want, but remember, this is your trip, so use what advise people give you and mold it into your own adventure... :afro:  |
