Ok. Me and a couple of friends are heading over to Europe for 6 weeks over December-January. We're winging it mostly, but have set plans for New Years (Hogmanay in Edinburgh) and a vague idea of where we want to visit (England, Ireland, Scotland, France. I see the teacher's ---
wait a minute. So those four and Italy.) Problem is, I'm having attachment issues with Christmas.
It'll be the first Chrissy I spend away from my family, and I want some definite plans - where we're going to be. So what I'd really love are some suggestions. Where's a good place to go? Any great experiences you've had.
I'd love to be in Rome at Christmas - but I think pretty much the whole Catholic population of the world would love to be in Rome at Christmas...and it will be incredibly busy...Thoughts? Been there?
Not in a terrible rush to get this info - but we'll have to start booking accomodation at some stage.
Thanks heaps.
