Greetings TPunkers. I'm a 24 chick leaving for for London in three days (7/7) for my first solo trip out of the USA. After London, I'm headed to Brugge, then Amsterdam. From there, I don't have reservations, but will probably head to Munich and then see how far down Italy I can get before getting back to Dublin for my flight home to DC on August 4. These boards have been great, although I'm still struggling to find a pair of comfortable shoes besides flip flops to walk around with that aren't sneakers and won't look totally dorky with shorts. This has proven to be the most daunting part of this trip off the ground! Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself... if anybody's trail seems like it might cross mine, it'd be great to hear from ya! Later travellers...

Welcome to the BOARDS!

Sounds like a great trip, I won't be in europe until the end of July though, Boo. Shoes are a tricky part, I decided on bring a pair of Nike sandals (had them forever and I know they can take the wear 'n tear) and a pair of sturdy hike shoes. They're beige in colour so I think they'll blend into whatever. :D

Just remember you'll need something with support for all that walking on different terrain! If you have doubts for the colour, but go with something neutral. Dirt will just blend in and it should match with everything!

Have a great trip!!!!

Jenn

Welcome to TPunk!

Looks like you have a great trip planned. As for shoes I'm basically doing the same thing as elfmaiden - 1 pair of teva sandals and 1 pair of low profile beige hikers with lots of support.

Wow... 3 days to go, you must be so excited. And don't worry - you'll meet lots of other people along the way, just keep your mind (and travel schedule) open. Best of luck!
