There's a reason they call it "Dumb Luck". Please carry on smuggling drugs over international borders, because while committing felonies might be strictly for the realm of pussies, breaking international smuggling laws is the province of Supreme Idiots and their ilk.

^^^ LMAO!
Honestly, bringing a few cakes or some herb across the lines is a risky endeavor that may lead to consequential befriending of a large inmate in a foreign jail that you do not wanna get to know!!!!!
And we all know somebody that shipped a tiny bit of hash, seeds, etc back to their older brother, neighbor, etc etc etc... Hell, i had a friend bring his homegrown to Ireland no problem, but that was in 98 and it was a different world then...

A chance to have a few grams of weed vs. the risk of prosecution in a foreign country.... Hmmmm? Geez, that's a toss-up, I just don't know!

No kidding - just this weekend I was offered a 1/8 oz of weed, a ziploc bag full of spacecakes, and 1/4 oz of psilocybin mushrooms - all for free... instead of having to pay $$$ to go to Amsterdam and try to sneak the shit back in.
Not that I'd mind a trip to Holland or anything...

I have to be honest, we do not want ANY Travelpunk members in JAIL!!!
Do not even think of bringing back illegal drugs from Europe, you will regret it for sure!!
Not worth it at all, just enjoy the good stuff over there, and get what you need in the US, in the US.

This guy should hang out with one of my friend's asshole brothers. A group of us were all driving to Montreal (from the U.S.) for the weekend for a bachelor party in a big van (talk about a search target). My friend had warned his brother multiple times to NOT bring pot with him on the trip (he is a pot head). So, unbeknownst to us, he did anyway. We get stopped at the border, pulled out of the van, they grab all of our luggage and bring out the dogs. So, at this point none of us still know that he brought it. The dogs do their thing, sniff all of our luggage, and luckily they find nothing.
The idiot brags afterwards how he had brought the pot. He had put in a plastic ziploc, sprinkled talcum powder on the bag, stuffed it into a shampoo bottle and poured shampoo into the bottle over the baggie. He was all proud of himself.
Needless to say the rest of us nearly threw him out of the moving van. This is typical of him (my friend's brother)...he is an idiot who barely makes it by in life due to bad decisions and a wide streak of laziness.
If your that deperate for your drugs or just that stupid, you deserve anything that happens to you.

Yeah, that's like an instance where my brother brought weed over the Canadian border. He was all proud of himself for being successful, especially because he got thoroughly searched. He would have gone through without a search, but he and I were escorting a minor, my little sister's friend, we were all coming for Christmas. Because he was named in the papers giving him permission to escort her, of course they did a criminal background check. Let's just say his background isn't spotless.
Anyways, he had taken about a 1/4 in a baggie, wrapped it up real tight in cellophane, put it under a Brut deodorant stick, and put that in his vanity bag which he then splashed liberally with cologne. My thinking after all this was...for what he bought that 1/4 for in the US, he probably could have gotten a good 1/2 for in Canada!
People like that are just stupid. STUPID STUPID STUPID. That's when you know you've reached the point where it's no longer recreational.

Sure the smuggling is dumb, dumb, dumb, but you have to admit, some of the ways these kids are mentioning friends and family getting stuff over is pretty creative. There was a comedian once, I forget who but he said something to this effect...
Weed, it is such a non drug. Nobody gets real high on weed and then goes out and goes on a shooting spree at the mall. You know what weed leads to - carpentry. Every pothead at some point will look at something around him and find the most creative way of making a bong. See that chair I bet I can make a bong out of it. We can totally make a bong out of that picture frame. Lets use the dog as a bong.

I was gonna say the exact same thing. I "heard" these stories too. I "heard" that if you don't put a name on it and then when it arrives just let it sit unopened for a few days so that if someone stops by asking questions you can just be like I don't know what to do with it. No return address and no name, "should I take it to the post office you think?" I also "heard" that it's best to not put all your eggs in one basket. Use a few different cards and small amounts of hash work best. A "friend" told me that one time one of his cards got confiscated by customs. It was hilarious because apparently all they did was confiscate and then mail everything else including the original envelope and wrapping with a note that said the contents had been confiscated and if the reciever wished they could claim the contents at the customs office.

Well, its more along the lines of TravelPunk, not Travel Meathead.
Unless you bringing in enough MJ to support you for 2 years, its just not worth it. The consiquence just does not match the risk. You can buy this shit anywhere, why take the chance? for the street cred? Do you really crave your friends approval that much? Is your life so boring that you need to manufacture adventure? Do the math, and you will see that it has nothing to do with being a pussy, but everything to do with common sense.
