Thumbs up

Hey, I'm another new memeber and I wanted to say hi. This board has been very helpful to planing my trip to Europe. I've been before but I can't wait to go back.

I have seen a few posts about Interlaken, Switzerland. I was wondering why this is an attraction and what there is to see there. I have never heard of the place.

It's really beautiful and is a great jumping off point for hiking. I went to Lauterbrunnen and Murren - breathtaking.

Interlaken is a highlight. The surrounding mountains are beautiful and snow capped - very scenic. You can go hiking and there are many extreme sports to participate in. Because it's a backpacker town there is heaps of people to meet and drink with (two of the hostels have nightclubs)

We're heading there for the mountains, the view and the activities. You can find lots of info on their tourism website. Hope this helps!
