OK, I'll get right to the point - at the end of August I'll be in Nice for about 4-5 days and I'm looking at what to do. I'm looking for some ideas for activities. Of course there is the historic sites and all the usual tourist attractions. I was also thinking of doing a day trip to Monaco and/or Cannes. Frying on the beach will only amuse me for about 2hrs... Any other ideas? What other things can you do?

PS - I just found this board last night and payed for it dearly today at work - I stayed up most the night reading all the posts and laughing to tears, so keeping my eyes open during the day proved next to impossible. It seems like this is the right place to get some good answers.
