Ok so im going to Italy for 11 days, dont really want to spend that whole 11 days in Italy but I had a brain storm. How about going to amsterday for 3 days or so.
Do you think that its a good idea? How long is the train ride?
Where in Italy would you be taking the train to Amsterdam from? I did take a train from Venice to Amsterdam. It was an overnight train and you had to transfer in Munich. I think the total time was about 20 hours, so you will lose a good part of a day doing this. Maybe just taking an overnight train to Munich would be better? It would also be cheaper to fly form Italy to Amsterdam then to take the train. I flew down there for about $80, and I believe the train ride back was $150.
