Hi everyone, a newbie here, so take it easy on me.
I'm taking a trip next summer and I'm trying decide where I'd like to go. I've always wanted to travel through Tuscany or Malta, but Im not very familiar with either area. I'm not much of a city person so I am considering the Tuscan country-side. Also, I've heard some great things about Malta, but I've also heard it's not very "scenic". I also have pretty limited travel experience (I've backpacked through Spain for a few weeks with friends). I may have to travel to these places alone. Thoughts, my friends? |
First of all welcome to TravelPunk!
I am not sure who told you that Malta is not very scenic, but it most certainly is. As far as which one to choose, they are both beautiful. Malta has a lot more diversity as regards historical sites, countryside and beaches and such. On the other hand there will be a ton of tourists there during the summer months. Tuscany will be quiet in comparison and you can go for long beautiful drives (if you rent a car) or walks. Really just depends on you. Malta has a lot more to offer in my opinion, but during summer it can be crowded on the beaches and big tourist spots. |
Hey thanks, Mr. Legs!
I have some time to think on this. I've only recently gotten the "travel bug" and I have limited funds and time (time off work, that is) so I just want to eat the world up, ya know? Every day I change my mind about where I want to go. Malta and Tuscany are the only two places that have really stuck. I've heard that Malta is really diverse and interesting. I'll have to check into things a little more (and will probably have tons more questions for you guys). Til then, thank you, friend. |
