Default Cheap but clean hostels in Dublin?

Hi everybody out there...

Does anybody of you know a real budget hostel in Dublin? It should be clean, but it shouldn´t cost that much!

My 2nd question is:
Do you know cool venues or bars there to drink a few beers or whiskeys? My favorite music has to do with punk, hardcore and ska or even metal...and also alternative music... Would be cool if i could enjoy my Guinness/ Jameson while listening to a good band playing live or a Dj is rocking my ears...

Would be cool if some of you could help me!

Thanks a lot and see you in Dublin this september

Cheers

I'd go for Abraham House. Its 11 Euros in the cheapest dorm, plus is very close to the main street, O'Connell Street, and the central bus station (great if you are coming/going to the airport as I always am when I visit Dublin). I stayed there for one night and I found nothing too objectionable. They need to redo the bathrooms but they weren't very terrible. Offers a pretty decent breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful when I arrived at 2 AM and some troublemaking dormmates decided to steal the pillow from my bed!

entertainment.ie will has lists of gigs and bars around Ireland. If your on a budget your best off to buy your drink in a supermarket before going out, Dublin is very expensive a pint can cost €5. In the supermarkets you can get drink for €1 a bottle.

Here's a list Dublin hostels, for your perusing pleasure.

Kinlay House looks pretty good and had very good ratings.
