Anyone been to Zermatt?
 

Hi,

i will be going to Zermatt in the summer and want to know if anyone can recommend any hostel/hotels to stay at?

I have tried to look on hostelworld, but there are only 2, but one is really expensive and the other hasnt got enough nights accomodation.

Please help someone!

Unfortunately I had never even heard of this place. But it is certainly a lovely word. Are you trying to complete some sort of alphabetical tour or something? ;) That would be great. Although I guess Zurich would suffice...

I don't claim to know anything about Switzerland, since I was there when I was 3 years old...

This is the only hostel that I could find so far that isn't on hostelworld, so I hope it's in the right place! Could you try camping as an alternative? I think there's a campsite in the vicinity.

unfortunatly because of where Zermatt is-near the matterhorn and all there aren't really any hostels. Heres a site I found on lodging that may help-theres hotels, chalets and even camp sites

Yeah but unfortunately I was 12 and with my parents so no idea on hostels. It was a nice place though from my perspective back then

I was in Zermatt in the winter (it quickly won rank as one of my favorite places in the world!) and stayed at a place called snowborders (or something like that). It was a pretty cool hostel, but I have no idea if it's open in the summer.
