First time poster and would appreciate any help.

Has anyone done the trip from Chamonix over the Alps to La Palud? I hear the scenery is great.

- Is this trip possible in one day/how long would it take?

- How expensive would it be?

I read about the trip in Rick Steves' guidebook and would like to obtain some additional information.

I am attempting to go from Paris to Cinque Terre and I thought that a day trip in the Alps would be a great stop. Any other destinations between Paris and Cinque Terre that someone would advise. I know it's there's a lot of distance between the two.

Thanks for your help in advance.

They're on the eastern side bordering Switzerland and Italy.

Well its quite a bit of travel betwenn Paris and Corniglia (Cinque Terre) 626.94 miles to be exact, but that is by car, this would take just over 10 hours to do. Train would MAYBE be aless, but a bus would be more for sure, it would be a day trip between these to points.

That will depent on your mode of transport, train, bus, car??? Hard to say??
Do you have a town or city name in the Alps that you wanna go to?

wow this is a really late reply, but i'll do one anyway!

my ex took a trip to chamonix for skiiing i think. he showed me the pictures he took of the alps and they were absolutely breathtaking! however, depending on where you stay it could be pricey. then again, it was just him and his friend that went and they were able to travel comfortably, they were on tight budgets though. just be careful with your cash and you can go just about anywhere!
