I am travelling to the Brit Isles next AUG and really want to do a backpackers tour of Irish and Scotish distilleries. I was told that some are by reservation only and some are walk-ins. Where could I go to get more information on this so I can include it in my itinerary?
Don't miss the Ben Nevis Distillery in Scotland just outside of Fort William. it's whiskey made from the run off water of Great Britian's highest peak.

Just by hanging out and talking to the various distilleries showing off their wares, they got invited over to one and got to try some ridiculously aged Scotch whisky, hang out with the distiller at one of the estates, yadda yadda yadda. Might be worth checking out when getting to Edinburgh to see which distilleries you want to check out.
