Hey. I just signed up to this place. I am planning a 6-9 month trip to Europe mainly, and I was hoping for so first had advice of the best places to go and see.
Can anyone help? ELOC  |
There is so much to do and see in Europe, will you help us a bit by telling which particular area of the continent you'd like to visit, and what type of activities or interests you have ?

The trip itself is still in the planning stages, but I was thinking of starting in London, propbably do Ireland, Scotland and parts of Italy for sure. I was looking to see at least two different breweries. And in the next little bit do some more reasearch and find were else I would like to go. I so want to stay in most areas for a few weeks so I can meet some people and learn about the country a little before I move on. I am a big fan of architecture so historical buildings and monuments would be some thing that is on the list.

I would go to the library or bookstore and start looking at loads of travel guides and see what strikes your fancy. That will help with narrowing the list down. :)

Well, if you're interested in breweries, then Scotland's Whiskey Trail in the Grampian Mountains might interest you. Scotland is awesome...gorgeous scenery, cool castles, beautiful islands. You've gotta hit up the Hebrides while there (Skye and Mull are my two favorites)...

If you're interested in both modern and ancient architecture, a visit to Austria and/or Germany could be a good idea. They have very innovative buildings, some beautiful some hmmm depends on you...

There are plenty of tpunks who know the countries very well, you'll get more answers soon. In the meantime, here are a couple of related topics you can find in the "Where you all going" forum, under "Europe : Western". Ireland Italy England Scotland I invite you to have a look at the whole forum, if you haven't yet ! |
