Hi! My friend and I have 2-3 days to get from Rome to Bologna. We were thinking of staying somewhere in Tuscany. Any of you all have some MUST see recommendations, including things to do and places to stay? We really are up for anything (monastaries? hiking? wine? fields full of sunflowers?)
Cheap is always good, but places worth a splurge will be considered too! Thanks a bunch! ~Jenn |
Florence.
Beautiful city, great food, great people. Also the statue of David (long line!) Foo  |
Jump a train to Napoli and go to the Spanish District. Great shopping and the amount of people and craziness is unseen almost anywhere! Def. worth the trip to at least say you have been to Napoli!!!

I live near bologna and was down in Siena last week. Siena is 1 hour south of Florence and issssss a nice town with a lot of tourists. It is beautiful. You could hit up a winery in the tuscany area just south of Siena. Also, u may consider Cinque Terre. I went there as well. You could go Rome to Pisa to La Spezia(cinque terre) on the train....and on the way back, go to Bologna by way of Parma....that is if you are taking trains.
Check out my blog for my recent pics of both Siena and Cinque Terre. They are under the Blog title, "It's a small world." cya...lilchappy  http://blogs.travelpunk.com/index.php?blogId=24 |
