of course there are lots of places in the world i would like to visit. one main area of interest is south east asia (not just thailand!), also, india has been calling me a long time now. lebanon, jordan, i want to see them all.... but where am i thinking of travelling next? germany, austria, and hungary - haha! i'm kind of scared to travel away from europe yet. somehow i feel so small or young or something, vulnerable.
anyway, i'm just talking to myself now, i guess....the real question is:
who's been to austria or hungary?
i'm looking for any tips or places i should visit. i really need help with hungary.
currently want to see:
salzburg
vienna
st. anton (arlberg)
budapest

My trip to Budapest was very short, but I found it an interesting city. A little more worn in some places than sparkling Prague, but a cool town nonetheless. I would highly recommend it.
The people were fairly friendly -- not overly so. I don't speak a word of Hungarian, but had no problems getting around. If you like, check out my travelogue, and feel free to ask any questions. A friend here at work is of Hungarian descent, has been there twice, and speaks Hungarian. Maybe he'd know the answer...

Joan, aren't you supposed to be taking off on another trip, like, in 3 days? Or, did that get pushed back a little?
If there is anyone who hasn't checked out WorldWideMike.com yet, then you need to get on it !
