but I like beer and chocolate too...! I think I may see Brugge but skip Brussels. This is the general concensus I am getting from everyone who's been to Belgium.

We live about one hour from the Belgique border so go there quite a bit, and I have to say I like it better and better every time I visit. Very laid back, friendly people, awesome food, and then of course there's the chocolate...

That said, Brussels is not necessarily the best place to experience Belgium, so if you do decide to go, definitely opt for Brugge or somewhere a bit less known/touristy like Oostende or Liege or Hasselt or somewhere equally unheard of.

But, if you can't make it this trip, don't fret about it too much, just enjoy the places you can fit in.

Consider Skybus from Columbus to an East Coast town... I got tickets to NYC for 10 dollars each way. 36 with tax.
