I highly recommend this hostel. it is right off of the main square there in Krakow and probably has the best location of any hostel in the city. Its kind of small, with mabye about 40 beds in total but this is a good thing because of the intimate atmosphere. The staff really goes out of its way to make things friendly and accomodating. The staff hangs out with the guests in the common room at night, playing games and stuff. Me and another guy wanted to play chess one night, but the chess board that they usually had there was missing, so a staff member brought out a newly purchased one the next night. The first night I was there they were having a party for having been rated #1 on hostel world and they had a bunch of free food and champagne for us. The Polish dude who owns the hostel attended and spoke little English, but told me that his goal was to make the hostel a destination in Krakow. After the party they got us free entry and a few free drinks at a new club across the square. It was a good night, but the other two nights were fun as well because the staff who were off duty would take whoever was hanging out in the common room out to check out the nightlife, which Krakiw is great for. The place is staffed with Polish university students on summer break and they all speak good English and and have great attitudes.
