ICE trains
I'm pricing my train tickets and passes using the DB Bahn website. I see a large difference in the ICE tickets vs the IC tickets.
Do the eurail passes cover the ICE trains?

Yes they do - and because I had a rail pass, I always picked the ICE trains if they were available. More often than not, you get to your destination faster and the seats are more comfortable. I mean, if it's covered in the dang rail pass, I'm not taking the slow shitty trains if I don't have to haha.

Just check to see if you need a reservation on the particular train - sometimes you do and have to pay a fee for that. Shouldn't be too much, unless you're on a really long haul.

if you make a reservation at the DB kiosk, it's 4 euros which sucks but it TOTALLY necessary if you're hopping on the train during busy times - especially during commuter times.
I made reservations for every train I took and I wasted a lot of euros doing it cos a lot of my trains were weekday afternoons or random late ones and they were mostly empty!
