Europe July/Aug

Hi,

I'm a virgin backpacker and have finally decided to go round Europe. I'm travelling on my own and am flying to Copenhagen on the 18th Jul. I then plan on going to
Berlin
Warsaw
Belgrade
Athens
Rome
Milan
Bern
Vienna
and Prague.

I'm planning on spending around 3 days in each place but i have an Interrail pass for a month so my plan is pretty easy.

If anyone's going to be around in these areas then it'd be cool to meet up and get drunk/sightsee or whatever.

I'm a little worried about going on my own but I think i'm a fairly outgoing, likeable person so i just hope i'll be able to meet new people who are up for partying!
I was worried that Europe is less of a 'backpacking' destination than other places (ie. Asia etc.) so it might be hard to meet similar minded people but i read on another thread that this isn't the case.

What do people think?

Oh no, Europe is THE backpacker destination. Sometimes a little too much. You aren't going to have any problems whatsoever meeting new people, I promise! Staying in hostels pretty much forces you to make new friends whether you want to or not.

sv is right, you will make so many friends it will be hard to keep in contact with them all! Just sit yourself down at a table in the hostel and introduce yourself.

Yeah, for some strange reason I think no one will have trouble finding somewhere or someone to party with in the height of summer with all the backpackers. I'm going myself in a bit 'cause I know there will be alot of people just like me.

I'm okay with the crowds for the moment, I don't want to feel too alone my first time going!! Hostels and everything is already looking packed, which I'm determined to take as a good sign. :D
