A friend and I are organising a small group to visit social and civil groups in Thailand and trekking with an eco-company in Chiangmai to stayover with hilltribes (3-10 Sep 05).

- Dialogue with human rights and media reform activists, lecturers and lawyers
- Visiting a Buddhist Community Centre to learn about spiritual practices in daily lives
- Learning from a Slum Community on how they develop their social welfare fund
- Watching Hun Lakhon Lek , a traditional Thai puppet show at the only theatre left in existence
- Visiting a small government factory co-operative run by previously displaced workers
- Staying at an international award winning eco-lodge
- Trekking to experience hilltribe living with communities such as the Akha, Lisu, Hmong and Lahu
