Hey iam new to this site but it seems like a cool place to meet young travelers, anyways iam from the states (jersey) and I am currently living in Dublin.

this july iam gonna head off and travel throughout Europe before i make my way back home and i was thinking of flying to Poland, Krakow to be exact i hear its an awesome place from most of the polish ppl ive met and i wanna head down there first or second week of august.

probably fly out from Germany, should be fun, so its anyone is heading in that direction drop a line, some company would be nice when exploring...

Haven't spent much time in Berlin, but I do like Poland. Krakow and Gdansk are about my favourite cities there, Warsaw doesn't do much for me... I also stayed at Nathan's - highly recommend. Have fun!

nathan's villa is cool because it has a sense of belonging there is a real community feeling and everyone is up for a party, plus there is a deli round the corner that is open 24 hours so handy for getting an early morning beer on the way home from a night out

Being the practical mum, I also have to add, clean, lots of private loos and free laundry! And any place that lets a family of 6 stay gets points from me. (In a private room, we didn't bug the single folks! )

Also, it's easy to get to and walking distance to lots of stuff. Kazimeirz is interesting, Wawel is a must see (go early to get tickets to the main attractions), as is the town square. There's an awesome Fransican Church that is decorated in the most extraordinary Art Nouveau style - not at all what you expect from the gothic architecture, and I've not seen another church like it in eastern Europe. (I believe it's called St. Francis Basilica - near the main square.) We also enjoyed the day trip to the Wieliska (sp) salt mines, and of course there's Auschwitz.
