Hey,

I'm planning to land in london on canada day. (July 1st)
I heard that there's a bar called the Maple Leaf Pub. Every year they throw a huge canada day party, and close off the street in front of the pub. Is this true?

Anyone gonna be in the area and wanna meet there for an awesome party?

I hear they serve everything caker. including Molson Canadian. lol

I was there a few years back. We arrived on Canada day. We were at trafalger square when I saw a couple girls with a bottle of Canadian. I asked them where they got that and they said at the Maple Leaf. It might have been because it fell on a Saturday, but the WHOLE STREET all they way down the block was packed with wall to wall people drinking in the street. We couldn't get anywhere near the Maple Leaf. My roomate met a guy that was actually at the Maple Leaf that night and the bartender was only selling flats of beer. He told the guy 'youre not ever going to make it back to the bar tonight so you might as well just buy all your beer up front'. The streets were littered with empty booze bottles. You couldn't see the pavement beneath your feet. We were starting to feel the effects of jet lag, so we didn't stay for very long. We turned in around 10pm.

I'll be there this summer for sure. I suggest you get there as early as you can if you want to join in.. either that or just bring your own booze and join the party out in front.

Canada party in london?

That would be so great! July 1st will be my last full day of my trip, and I will basically be in london waiting for my plane the next day. I was sorta sad to think I would miss the traditional weekend up at wasaga beach with my friends, but knowing this it might be nice to meet up with a few fellow canucks abroad (that is if I am still standing at that point! )
