British airways has a special to london going on... and for the summer dates its 263 each way. Soooo $526 plus tax and a cheap trip on easyjet or ryan air... and you're in spain! Sound about right?

I just checked BA flights from Philly to LHR - it's still about $800 for me; for July flights
Man, I'm still tryin...

Hi! I am looking for a way to get from Biarritz France to Pamplona Spain. Does anyone know the area? I just want to take a bus and pop on over for the running of the bulls. If anyone has any info, you can email me or post here!
thanks a million!

Yea I'm still wondering about how I'm getting to pampalona too.... I'm thinking a quick jont from London to Barcelona... then... I'm not sure.
Anyone going my way (love to have company)?
-----
Okay, so now I'm wondering a few things.... who's going to be in pamalona when? Anyone on the 6th? Since I found the train schedule... and it doesnt match up with the flight I was going to take... I might go a day earlier... but since I dont have any place booked to stay... hmmm... I dont know... now I'm just rambling...
any advice would help.

LndeLou... from Biarritz you are pretty close to San Sebastian.. I know a bus line runs from San Sebastian to Pamplona... so there is probably a bus from Biarritz to San Sebastian... that is probably about the best you will find. I am not sure of a direct route. But that is a start of what to look for. The route down to San Sebastian should be quick... maybe 20 minutes.
Ashpunk, have you looked for a direct flight into pamplona? I am not sure if there is one from London, but just a thought. If I was gonna be able to make it I would be training then busing from barcelona to pamplona. But I don't think I can get the cash in time.... I thought there were a few others headed in that way. But not sure. I will see what I can find.

ok ASH here's what ive heard about where to stay in Pamplona. The people that have gone before told me that people will offer u to sleep in their shop or home on the floor with a matress or something for 20 bucks a night or so, people also sleep in the park since the partying only stops for an hour or two a day

Cool! Yea I'm totally up for sleeping (or not) in the park... as long as I've got people to keep me company. At least at first... cause you've gotta remember this IS my first trip. So I'm making a big leap here!
Did find out that the train from barcelona to pamplona is like 5/6 hours... geez man! I'm guessing the bus will be longer.. so I guess thats my option.
Sijuki:: I looked a little at direct flights... but with the carriers like british air and such they're like $400! What gives!? Am I doing this wrong? Ryanair is only $30.
Also, found this for all who are looking for airfare still.... Virgin
More here...
... and more
Hope it helps... I'll keep looking...

thanks for the advise! I am all up for sleeping in the park! I am a hippie anyway, hehe! Ash.... i think that you should fly to Biarritz France like me! it is wayyyy closer to pamplona than barcelona, so i am saying that you would save a few quid. I am getting a flight from dublin to london, then to biarritz, round trip for around £120. Look and ryinair, airlingus, and something called jet something. haha! sorry for the lack of info on that last one!
hope to see you all there!

I'll be comin over from Barcelona (prly just for fri & sat night) -- any idea how to get there?
sounds like ppl are 'sleeping' in the park. does it make any sense for us to pay the exorbitant rate for 1 hotel room and everybody shower, leave stuff, and/or crash there?

That might be an idea to consider. There could be a problem of access if they won't give out multiple keys though.

Lndlou, where did you find the train schedule from france to pamplona. Can you send me the link cause I think I'm going to take your advice and just do that. Through ryanair the ticket was 24.90GBP. So I'm stoked!

That still sounds pretty good Joan! We wish you could be there too....we'll drink to you!
Side note...might this be the biggest meet up yet? And probably the furthest away for most people?

I'm sure it will be the biggest travelpunk meet up at least. Someone should write an article for the site about it, chronicling what takes place when total strangers meet up for an event like this in a foriegn country.
