hey ladies and gents,

new to this site, just wanted to give some props on how
wellmade it is. anyways, just wondering if anyone
has had any experience traveling by road through mexico,
central america and finally into south america in one trip.
any info is appreciated. thanks

Your trip sounds pretty amazing, its something I have always wanted to do.

We do have members in Mexico and South America so I hope they will jump on this one cause.

i almost did it actually... there is a book on the subject about taking the pan-american highway... and there was a guy in salvador de bahia that had been traveling for 15 months... started in alaska and was riding his bike to tierra del feugo in southern argentina. the only part he didnt ride so far was the darien gap in columbia... mostly cause there is no road and 1 in 3 who enter never return....

Yo, I was going to hitch that, but only as far as Costa Rica or Guatamala. The surf is totally rad in Costa, and it would be a epic expirience to travel on land all the way down there.
When are you going? I'm working now to get to OZ this coming summer, but after that I need something for next winter. Let me know if you need a travel partner...
