Nightquest

Hey everyone,

I'm planning on leaving for Guatemala for the 3 first weeks of december. I ordered the rough guide, and i'm patiently waiting for it to arrive. I've read a few things on the country, i ws just wondering if any of you had specific suggestions of places to see. You don't need to mention antigua or Tikal, but other than the obvious i have no clue of what to see.

So I'm looking for suggestions from people who've been to Guatemala.. things like, is it worthwhile to jump into Honduras for a few days? Belize? Is there some awesome national park (rain forest, cloud forest, etc). Other amazing ruins than Tikal?
