w00t! The other week, my friends hooked up a resort on Cofresi Beach, about 10 min. from Puerto Plata. I finally got around to nailing down the flight today. I don't care much for Continental, but hey, at least I get Virgin Atlantic miles, right? And who cares? It's the Caribbean!

Arriving early on July 1st, leaving on July 5th.

Yay! I will still be kicking around town during that time. Cofresi is about a 30 minute drive from where I live, but it isn't too hard to get to Sosua (or for me to get to Cofresi for that matter) You can literally hop on a gua gua and get here for 20 or 30 pesos (mind you...you will be stuffed in a van with 23 Dominicans...) But I also have a car. It is too bad you aren't staying in either Sosua or Cabarete, because those are the towns I think you would love.

So another Tpunk meet up in the DR is about to happen....that's great!

Scuba certs can get done here, but if you can get it done before you come, that will be better because you don't use two of your vacation days getting it done. Scuba diving is right in Sosua as well.

I'd love to have a choice of where I stay, but I'm not gonna complain when my friend hooked up a beachfront villa for practically free. I guess I'll put the savings into that oh-so-expensive transport to Sosua ;) Anyway, there's three of us heavy drinkers to throw som business at your bar!

I'm starting work this week at a little outdoor bar called Checkpoint. It is a small island bar in the middle of town, close to the beach. I look forward to serving you a few drinks!
