Yup that's my city!

WOw we were in maxin, sweeeeeetttt...

It's pretty laid back here. Not uptight at all. Wreck beach is au naturel. Located right in vancouver, but about 20 min drive from downtown. Other nudists sell drinks, bracelets, etc on the beach. 19 legal age yah..but so is the rest of canada (some places it's 18) and that generally means that some clubs are filled with americans aged 19-21..ugh navy men. women can marry women or vice versa , and pot is everywhere. People always smoke it everywhere right in the open. I've been with visitors to vancouve and they cant understand how someone will be smokin pot on the art gallery steps (where lots of peeps hang out) and that's allowed??I dunno what to say, it just is.

Of course it has it's downsides. I think the police are too leniant. We were just rated #2 in north america for property crime (after miami) and there are alot of homeless people here. you walk downtown and you will see tons of panhandlers (some with signs that say need $$$ for pot..hehe). Right now in the park next to science world about 60 homeless people have set up a 'tent city'. Basically they are homeless and have created their own little city to live in on public property. it looks awful and for months the city has tried to get rid of them. um how about more public housing retards! duh. we're getting the 2010 olympics so the city will be cleaned up alot by then i'm imagining. But overall It's amazingly beautiful here with tolerant attitudes and great outdoor opportunities. come visit!

Mhhhhhhhhh.....Vancouver!

I was there for 4 months a few years ago to study at UBC. It really felt like home. When I came back in Quebec, I was kind of home sick! I've seen some homeless people sleeping on the sidewalk...very sad. On the other hand, one of my friend told me he lived for free in Vancouver for an entire summer, sleeping at the shelters for homeless people and eating some free food they give to them too, talk about travelling cheap! Hahahaha!

It's such a beautiful city! The mountains topped with snow, trees full of flowers everywhere, parks, the Ocean! Everything you need is right there! What amazed me the most is as soon as you put a foot on the street, cars, buses and trucks will stop to let you cross...The public transport system is pretty well organized too, and it's easy to use. One night, I was alone in a bus, talking with my driver, and the driver actually drove me directly in front of my door! A really friendly man!

I'm definetly going back there some day!

Hahahha! Yeah, I notriced that no matter how hard I try no to, I always gain something like 5 to 10 pounds before winter, then always loose them for the summer...I guess I fall in a state of hibernation each year!

Sure you can call me Moc; everybody calls me Moc (I just noticed it sounds like Doc!! Like Dio would say: Mouahahaahaah!)

Vancouver RAWKS(ciped that from Voyd )! I love it up there! You do have some beautiful country up there Dio. Grew up 2 hrs south, in Seattle, so we made regular trips up north.
So much has changed in the last ten years there...all for the better for course. Last time I went, I spent the whole night on the phone with the police and the rental car agency because someone samshed the driverside window looking for valuables in the car. Didn't get nothing. Had it all with me in the hotel room :greenguy: That put a damper to the night as I couldn't drive anywhere with a broken window and glass all over the inside. All that happened within an hour of me checking in, going to my room to take a shower and clean up, then heading out for a night on the town. Sucked

Anyway, there is so much to do in Van. It's unbelievably picturesque, lots of restaurants to please any palette, a lively nightlife, Stanley Park, and lot's of young drunk girls (drinking age 19!) hahahah...Also, for chinese food lovers, they've got something like the biggest chinatown in the world, outside of chinatown (i believe).

The strip clubs are known to have some of the finest girls on the planet ! Guns n' Roses filmed a video in one of them, way back when....but I wouldn't know...

OMIGOD Moc I just had a vision of me, you, an irish pub, beer and hot men!!! Oh my!

TP- Yeah car breakins happen ALL THE TIME. I've worked all summer in hotels. One of them had a car lot attached to the hotel so most guests would park their car there. I kid you not, but there was at least one break in a day. Never ever ever Never leave anything in the car. I don't care if it's an old newspaper or a quarter. These theifs will break in to get anything. My mom had her car broken in three times. And everyone on my block has gotten their house robbed. (including mine) so these sorts of crimes are fairly common unfortunately. but besides that vancity rox!

Hahaahah Dio!

And you know what, if we start a fight and wrestle a guy, I'd just get my Kung Fu skills out and both of us would kick his ass, and every guy's ass in the Pub for crying it out loud! Hahahha! One of us would make a diversion while the other one would jump on his back! heheheh! :greenguy: We would never get our knees skinned if we work as a team!

Question

Yeah, dat's true ANYWHERE - I've had my car parked rows of cars that got busted into - but mine was untouched cuz I WASN'T DUMB ENOUGH TO LEAVE SHYT IN IT! So, never leave shyt in ya car! Specially the college girls round here - leave backpacks and purses in! Well, maybe they just want the car to get cracked so daddy will buy them a new one, who knows?

Vancouver sounds cool...!

It also happens here!

I was visiting my sister and in the parking lot, we saw some guys breaking the window of a car...We went to a police that was standing on the corner of a street, and told him the story...Well, he got into the car and we drove around the city while other policemen were trying to locate the 3 guys...They would stop every group of young men, and we would drive pass them and try to identify them. Well, after a while, they got them, but we were not sure if it was them or not...So I said to the policeman in my car: 'tell your police friends to make the one with the blue jacket remove his jacket, if he wears a Metallica T-shirt 'and Justice for all' underneath, it's them...' That's how we catched them!

Wooooo!!! Beware thieves coz Moc is watching ya! Commando Moc reporting to crime scene...Heheheeh! :greenguy:

The DIOMOC team! I like the sound of that!

Sorry you lost all your illusions on women Wong! Get real! Dio and I didn't play with dolls when we were young, we played with G.I. Joes! When I had to play with Barbies, Ken always ended up raping them coz they looked too much like good pretty ladies and therefore deserved it! :greenguy: Hahahah!
