This would actually be fun if you had the time! It would be a great way to see a lot... Maybe I'd just do chunks.

That's awesome. I wish I had that kind of free time.

dude, you have all the free time in the world if you're living out of a tent instead of paying rent. many, many, MANY people do this that have hardly any money. the only reason you don't have free time is because you are working to keep up a leaving in a city that is was over priced. there is an article i read in 'Backpacker' that's talks about the first guy to yo-yo (hike it there and back) the PCT (the trail that goes from the northern most point to the southern most point of the west coast). he lived on the trail. he'd do logging in the off season.

anyhow, AWESOME find jamie! I totally want to do something like this at least once in my lifetime.

^True. I guess what I really mean is that I wish I didn't have so many other "priorities". Mostly, my education.

That would be so amazing. I would do it, but i would want maybe a working holiday visa, in case I got stuck for cash. Anyone would def. have a great time doing that.

Ah, its about 7 weeks old. They must have removed the story. Sorry!!! It was about a couple who took something like 8 months and hiked across the US.
