I can pitch a tent pretty much anywhere. Just give me some good source material or a lap dance and *HELLO MR. WINKY!*

lollersk8s!

anyway...
accomodation's cheap in SEA, are you on an uber tight budget? i personally wouldn't tent it even in my own country of Malaysia...it just doesn't seem done. Maybe someone with personal experience could share.

My Uncle is a merchant marine, and frequents SEA on his off-time. he says that staying in a room is so cheap, and easy to find, that he wouldnt even consider camping out unless with a group as an outing. good luck.

For a 12 month adventure bringing a tnet could come in handy. You just never know where you are going to end up. Go for a super lite one man tent and you'll be good to go.
