Hello,

I picked out this pack for my trip... it's lightweight, a good size, and most importantly, feels good on my back. I was going to get a travel pack, but returned it because it felt horrible wearing it when it was fully packed. The problem with the one I have is that I can't do much to lock the zippers (they have strings on them instead of metal tabs). It packs from the top, and I can't really lock that up. SO, what do I do to keep my stuff safe when a locker isn't available?? I was thinking of bringing a nylon duffle with me, and just puttin the pack in there and locking up the duffel. Anybody have a better idea??

Thanks!

A duffel is fine. Keep in mind though that if someone really wants to get into your bag, a lock on a zipper isn't going to do much to stop them. There are also cable net things that you can put over the whole pack that you can lock up but I don't know how useful and/or annoying those are.

22 or so countries and 0 locked packs....I am with SV, if they want it, they will take it..I would not fret over it.
