Ok,so planning on travellin with a mate,foofiter yah noob thats on here too,yer prob gonna read this,anyhow advice,now travelling,long time,rtw,big decent proper rucksack ,any idea's on sizes to get,im thinkin maybe a 60-80 litre,that seem ok,um,not im takin not very many clothes,im takin a tiny sleeping bag,rucksack,laptop,camera,banjitar *banjo for guitarists),these are i would say the main things im taking,advice on whether im crazy to be taking all this stuff for a trip that could possibly last longer than year,foofiter,we need to talk bout that i think,i think that maybe if i take my banjitar and put it in a guitar case then i can have my laptop in its case and put that in my guitar case also,rucksack on back (obviously) and camera round my neck,what do you think,would like to what you peeps think is the ideal way to carry all this stuff

You should be fine with a 60-80 Liter pack.
I don't know about the whole guitar case thing....If I were to be gone a year I think I would be tempted to bring my laptop as well, but it all depends on how you'll be traveling and what you'll be doing. :cheers: |
In brisbane airport I saw a guy wrangling a regular pack, day pack on his front, a surfboard under one arm, and his guitar case in the other hand. so it can be done....

^yea, ANYTHING can be done. A friend and I traveled around Europe with a two man kayak for six weeks - most of the time in it, but sometimes carrying it :doh:

apparantly the company Martins do an acoustic guitar called backpackers guitar,tis like tiny,must get a link or picture to show ya,but that seems easiest and it comes with its own little case also,that is £160 or £180 at the shop i saw it so who knows,cheers
