About a year ago, the parent compnay of Dana Designs (K2) brought Marmot. Now a year later, the two are one under the larger company Marmot. Dana Designs re-invented internal frames in their long haul Arc Flex packs, and became the pack for expeditioners. Marmot innovated many of the top accessibility features of backpacks today. The two are now completely one, and the packs show it. The new updates to the packs from both companies (now all under Marmot) are unbelievable! These packs are the shit. End of story.
Just thought I'd let everyone know.

It's a true story people. I can attest to the amazingness of the new bags. I fell in love with one the other day at REI but the price tag turned my love into lust. Still pricey for a bag as Dana's always were in my opinion

they are certainly getting better. I'd like to see them make a couple hybrids and more removable day packs!

You bet. And having over 3000 posts on an internet forum makes you the nerdiest of nerds. But, having over 4000 posts and being in the admin team on an internet forum, well, i don't even think they have a term to decribe the level of nerdiness there.

AH-HA! co dissed anthon!
....nerd...
well, i think that our level of nerdiness is taken down quite a bit with all the freakin' places we all go when we're not on this thing. some people are on forums talking about...i dunno...star wars or knitting or the merging of two backpacking companies... ...now they are the real nerds.

I'd like to see the merging of knitting and star wars. That would be the ultimate nerd forum. Who wants to start it up?
