Talking

I know we have been chatting about it but just in case:

Universal sink stop for washing clothes for free
scented dryer sheets to keep clothes smelling fresher
laundry detergent powder (I bring my own cos my skin reacts to most other brands...)
Pictures of friends and family to show others on the road (conversation starters)
flashlight: you never know when the power might go out and you need to see...
2 copies of all important id's, credit cards, passport, tickets, etc (1 for your pack and 1 for someone at home)

That is all that comes to mind at the moment...

Preparation H.

No, seriously. Not for hemorrhoids, but for any chafing caused by hiking, backpack straps, or humidity. This dude with a tube of Prep H saved my damn LIFE in Costa Rica - I couldn't walk because of post-horseback and hiking-in-the-humidity chafing, and he told me Preparation H does the trick. It did, and I now won't travel without a tube of the stuff.

Also, Benadryl is a miracle drug. Not only does it take care of allergies, but if you get sunburned, it reduces the irritation. Crushing up a pill and rubbing it on a hurting body part will also numb it. (Make sure there's no open wound/bleeding, though, as that could lead to infection.)

Chasers anti-hangover pills. These do work and I confirmed this with a pharmacist. I took these last years and could snap right back after like 4 hours sleep and getting hammered all night. Give em a try! What do you have to lose?

like foo said a universal drain stopper is good for free clothes washing, what works in place of that is cutting a tennis ball in half. it fits in absolutely any drain and the price is right. plus a small bottle of detergent or that powder stuff and it will rock your world. -kyle
