Hey i can reccomend a towl i got at wal-mart in the camping section it was like 4 bucks and a felt-ish type material, It was really light and packable but worked pretty well, got a little chilly but I was in Europe in December.

Yeah, I gota similar one to Kyle's for about $5 from a military surplus shop.. some German brand. Worked out GREAT - only trouble was the first couple of times I used it, it smelled like chicken fat burning on a BBQ... seriously!

Hehe yeah I had a super absorbent towel, it kind of got stinky after a while and then I left it somewhere. I started using a sarong which worked well. In Morocco a native Berber loved it because of the colours and wanted it as a gift for his mum. So it got traded for a berber towel which I then left at another hostel. I lasted the rest of my trip with an old shirt.
