Used to own a fishing back pack that i lossed, it suffered, man did it suffer yet it was as strong as the day it was made, a family member gave me it, i swear it must have been a WW2 sack. anyway after minutes and minutes of searching the web now that im going to Thailand for 2 - 4 months, i actually found one of these sacks, i swear theyre durable as hell itself

Anyways the reason i thought of it is because of hearing scare stories of ppl having theyre back packs bladed, i.e. razor blading the underside of your back pack and "half inching " (pinching) your gear !

whats your opinions of it ? its only small, i dont seem to be able to find one over 25 litres, will that do, im planneimng taking cloathes, minimum, ites minimum and the odd bits n bobs. when i backpacked Wales my home country i used an 85 litre, man it felt like i could fly when id finished walking for the day and took the buuger off. Anyways what do you think of this sack ?

Am i better off with a modern day nylon/cotton (?) sack ?

This doesnt really answer your question...but...

I'm doing almost the same thing in Europe. I have this military surplus canvas musette bag that I'm going to sew patches on of all the countries i'm hitting.
