backpacks

I am a newbie here but I read some good forums.
My question is regarding backpacks, i am currently deciding on what kind of backpack to buy. I will be going to Europe soon and will be traveling for two months and can't decide on a backpack that might be able to hold 2months worth of stuff. Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tryed in the "backpacking gear" forum yet? There are some really good explanations on how to choose the right pack for you, and also suggestions of the different packs that some of the members bought. I think that information is super useful!

Hey there!

Chances are you won't get a pack that will actually hold 2 months worth of stuff! Obviously you're going to have to limit the amount of stuff you take, clothing in particular, just take enough clothes to last a week or so, and wash when needs be.

tbh, two moths of stuff it pretty much the same as 6 months of stuff youre jsut gonna wash it less! if I were you i'd concentrate on what i was doin and how hot it will be and how many sounvineres i wanted to buy. more than 65 litres is a heft

Top loading backpack best suit a backpacker, the better one has compartment that can be extended to fill more stuff. Get one that has a internal or external frame, it make it easier to maintain your balance even on uneven terrain.

I usually have another rucksack in the backpack, so that I move around with the rucksack at the destination leaving my backpack at the hostel.

I used a Kelty Redwing 3100. Perfect size for me. Also brought my school backpack for my day pack.

I just like having one large backpack instead of these tiny ones with detachable day packs...
