In all seriousness, hemp's stronger and more durable than cotton - so it's tougher than a pair of jeans, but softer, to boot. Unfortunately, it's about as moisture-wicking as cotton or linen, which is to say that it's not very. So it's good for comfort if you're not dealing with heat/humidity/heavy activity. Personally, as much as I like natural fibres, etc., I prefer synthetics for backpacking - or wool blends. I'll even wear wool socks in 100º weather because they'll ironically keep my feet cool and dry in the long run.
so I hope they are the single greatest thing ever to hit the backpacking world and that you pros think everyone should own a pair etc...
