Hi Zylah - trust me, it was not an easy decision to decide where to go. I only have two weeks and Australia is so damn big, I had to pick and choose for this trip. Part of it is I have a three day SCUBA trip booked for the middle of my second week, so I need to stay around Cairns a bit. I would love to make it over to the West Coast and check out Perth as well as check out the outback and I hopefully I will the next time around. Cheers!

ok have fun, just realise that u r missing some amazing sites, (ularu etc)
if u get the chance dive the great barrier reef as it is dying and probably wont be much left in 20 years (damn global warming and pollution)
dont forget to bring a long sleeved very light top and get lots of sunblock and a good hat when u get here.
The sun up there burns man. or u could look like this: not this:

Hiya, I'll be in Perth the end of May. Then, as the year goes on, I'll be going down the East coast.

Dio-
Around May 20th to the 23rd I will be in either Surfer's or Brisbane, or both (just not at the same time ). When you get up to Brisbane, definately post some info on what its like and perhaps if the schedule works out we can grab a beer - it can be the Oz mini-TP gathering (since everyone ELSE chose to go to Europe this summer........silly people )

Oh and for the record Ozpacka my friend the east coast is SO not where it's at!!! (And I now live there, I should know)
The true beauty is in the isolated places...othawise u might as well be anywhere else in the world. Travellers: my advice? Head for the west, central, north or Tassie...

beady-Yeah I'm starting in brisbane area and will eventually head north to cairns, over to darwin, down the westcoast to perth, over to adelaide, make my way up to see uluru, then over to tassie, and up the east coast thru sydney and back to brisbane..phew!! I'm tired just thinking about that! But yeah basically I want to see the WHOLE country not just the east coast (aka backpacker trail) WIll you be there for a year as well?
