power outlets in oz

I am coming from Canada and am wondering what voltage power outlets are used in australia? Am I going to need a converter to use my appliances?

here in Oz we use 240V at 50hz, with plug type C soit looks like u willneed an adaptor. There normally pretty cheap to pick up (try a travel store)

Yeah, you can pick up adapters over here pretty cheap. I think we are lucky here in oz, cuz we are up there with the ones that run the hightest voltage, so we can pretty much run our stuff (chargers, etc) in europe without a transformer...

Think you guys in the states run pretty low voltage stuff though, yeah ?
