Alright, so I managed to convince some schools that I have some skills and am headed back in the fall of 2006. That means I've got some time to do some traveling this spring/summer. I've done the Europe thing so am excited about trying Australia. I'm thinking of going for a month or two and was wondering what the best way to get from place to place was? Train, bus, fly, hire car, or buy an old car and sell it when ya leave? Thoughts, experiences, suggestions.

Thanks

welcome

i think with all the budget airlines down here is better to fly also saves alot more time.. but a car is always fun for a road trips but if you buy a old cheap one it could be more trouble then its worth.. there also the greyhound buses www.greyhound.com.au that has alot of different budget for travellers.. hope this helps

where is aus are you lookin to travel the east coast ?

respect

Hey I'm also headed to OZ soon and I've decided to take the bus. I'm just doing the east coast and greyhound has some great hop on hop off routes for relativly cheap. you can also buy passes in increments of 1000 km and travel wherever you want to. Buying a car is also a good option but isnt all that cheap unless you have someone to split the cost of the car, gas and driving time with. Also, if you want to see many different areas of the country, flying is a good option.
