Ok, I've heard that it's quite a cool event, but I don't know much about it. I know where I can get tickets, when it is, etc...
But, do you have to camp there? Is it easy to get there? And has anyone else ever been to it?
Its camel racing in the Boulia desert, on the 3rd friday of July every year. Tickets $25, for the thursday to the sunday.
Anyone been before? Or know anyone who has?

Near the Burke River, 360 km W of Winton, 295 km S of Mt Isa and 242 km E of the NT border, Boulia is the capital of the Channel Country.

Getting there seems to be a bit difficult though...I looked everywhere for a shuttle service, train service but no luck, i read thiings about people driving threre, but nothing else...Email this person, they will be able to help you I am sure, they are the contact for the race information...sanelaptyltd@bigpond.com

Thanx CD! Do you know, I was flicking away on the net for ages on info about it, and couldn't find anything half as informative as this the site you've linked me too! If I had a star sticker, I'd stick one on you. Thank you!!
It does look pretty cool, a bit of a mission maybe, but I shall try my hardest to get myself there! ha ha.
