Thumbs up

Any of you guys ever use a 'backpacker house' e.g. www.sleepingwiththeenemy.com ?

If so, how do you rate them ?

......or would it be better (just as eazy/cheap) to rent a room in a house with others ?

IrishDude.

I've never stayed in one before, but I am planning on staying in "sleeping with the enemy" when I go to Oz in May. It seems to be good value, and you'll meet loads of people..

I just took a look at the site and it's not a bad deal but, I assure you, you can find much cheaper backpacker housing in Oz if you just look at backpacker notice boards. I've stayed in backpacker houses for $60-70/week, all inclusive. Sometimes it's with ex-travelling-Aussies who miss that backpacker scene and sometimes it's with one of your kind. I've always found it's more interesting when you don't know exactly what your getting yourself into
