Most of our Airports have free internet and there are numerous access points in McDonalds.

Internet here is just moving to ADSL2+ in some areas but you can expect to pay $50AUD for a 512kb/128kb ADSL connection with 20GB of downloads.

There is a company called 3 that sells a PCMCIA card that uses the mobile phone network. Its pretty pricey though.

There are plenty of internet cafes though. :mf_gap:

If you've got decent cashflow once you get there, you can get a 3G card from Vodafone that'll give you broadband speeds in a little PC card you plug into your laptop.. from anywhere there's a Vodafone signal! A couple of my mates there have it and use it as their only internet connection... pretty handy! I forgot exactly how much it costs..

here we go.. it's called Vodafone Mobile Connect. They have similar services in other countries with 3G and/or EDGE networks. Can't wait for T-Mobile to start offering it in the US, as they do in central Europe!
